Dr. Tahki
I have been practicing medicine for over 20 years as a board-certified Internal Medicine Physician. My focus has largely been on prevention and in late 2018, I launched Dr Tahki Lifestyle Medicine. Being in the conventional medical world for many years offered important insights to what was and was not working in medicine.I shifted my focus in 2018 because my true passion is to help people find long term health and well being. I help people achieve this by making better lifestyle choices to minimize the need for pharmaceuticals and unnecessary interventions, thereby avoiding their reliance on the current healthcare system.  I believe an empowered patient can do much more for their own health than any prescription can provide. I see myself as a steward of health for every individual who walks through my door. With my many years of experience in medicine combined with my openness to other healing sciences, I can help patients craft a personal health journey that fits their individual needs, lifestyle, desires and goals.

What I do
I want you to view me as a partner in your health journey rather than a one sided conversation of “I say, you do”. The framework of my approach is based on what I call the Four pillars of Health: Sleep, Mental Well Being (which includes stress management, coping skills and spiritual health), Movement, and Nutrition. I look at the whole picture. I take a deep dive into your life, your choices, your behaviors, and I help you find solutions to modify, augment, or outright change the direction of your health. I have access to comprehensive laboratory testing and blood work profiles to help guide my decision making. Some say, “The devil is in the details”, whereas I say, “The healing is in the details.” As your LIfestyle Medicine doctor, I shine the light on blind spots in your health that can help uncover pitfalls or lead to breakthroughs in your health and healing. My focus is largely on healing and prevention using the principles of nutrition, exercise, physiology, biology, and psychology that I have collected and curated through my 20 years in the field of medicine.
